Tuesday is Local Grower's Day, when we honor and celebrate the independent farmer and other small food producers in our community. Thanks to our Day Sponsor, Durango Nursery and Supply.

Your support of KSUT could win you Tuesday's Day Prize: $500 in Durango Farmer's Market bucks. (The market begins May 14.) We're also bringing back services from Scapegoat Landscaping and chiles from Gazpacho's Mexican Restaurant. And new this year, we're introducing flowers from Passion Flower Bouquet Farm, and a tote bag full of goodies from Durango Organics. We'll draw for the Day Prize at 6:00 p.m.

Today's Morning Prize (to be drawn at 11:55 a.m.) is a pair of tickets to see Robert Earl Keen, Tuesday March 26 at the Community Concert Hall, plus dinner for two at the Cyprus Café.

We've got a lot more prizes, including tons of ski tickets, a private party at Ska Brewing, and $500 of in-store credit at San Juan Cycles.

And this year's Grand Prize is a trip for two to the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. The trip includes round-trip air travel from Durango, one pair of 3-day festival passes, and four nights of lodging at the Prince Conti Hotel in the French Quarter.

In studio today: Tom Bridge and Sue Herlihy from Durango Nursery and Supply; Alison Dance, owner of Cyprus Café; Darrin Parmenter, Director, La Plata County Extension Office.

Thanks also to our phone volunteers: Debra Quayle, Jess Wilton, Steven Rolig, Kitty and Brian Benzar, Douglas Ewen, Caroline Eastburn, Rod Hubbard, Maria Baker, Dan Ford and Cyndee Ford.

And to Raider Ridge Cafe and Durangourmet for food.
