Nitanis "Kit" Largo, Serenity Feature CD 11/8

Nitanis "Kit" Largo, started singing at the age of 7 years old with her late Aunt Eleanor Elliott.  Singing, music, pow-wow and dancing has always been a part of her life.  Her father is a musician and her mother is a jingle dress dancer and she would travel to many pow-wows.  At the age of 17 years old "Kit" started back-up singing with the drum group Bear Creek.  She has also been featured on many pow-wow recordings with Bear Creek, Tha Tribe and Rocky Boy Agency.  She was also included in a trio with Alex E. Smith and Cheevers Toppah for Harmony Nights and Rain in July.  On this album you will hear featured artist; Alex E. Smith, Algin Scabby Robe, Randall Paskemin and Wayne Silas, JR.  Please Join KSUT this Friday, Novenber 11, 2013 at noon for this weeks Feature CD. Lorena Richards is an enrolled member of the Southern Ute Indian Tribe & lifelong resident of Ignacio, CO. A mother of three, Lorena has worked at KSUT Tribal Radio for over eight years. Before her passion for radio, Lorena’s passion was cooking which took her to Culinary School. Returning home she began volunteering for KSUT and has since worked her way into a full-time position & the current Content Director for Tribal Radio. Lorena has two afternoon programs during the week and she hosts the Tuesday & Thursday "Native Morning Show." Her goal is to get her Bachelor’s degree in Video Journalism.
