KSUT to Air Debate Between Colorado’s Congressional District 3 Candidates Tonight

Join us this evening at 6 for a broadcast of a recent Grand Junction face-off between Republican Scott Tipton and Democrat Gail Schwartz.

Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District spans a large part of the western part of the state, from Durango to Pueblo, and from Grand Junction to Craig.

Incumbent Republican Representative Scott Tipton of Cortez is facing former State Senator Gail Schwartz, a Democrat from Crested Butte, in this year's race to represent the massive district.

Club 20, a group of western Colorado counties, hosted a debate between the two candidates in Grand Junction on Saturday September 10.

The two squared off on energy development, health care, social security, and other issues.
