Hear Jack White's Acoustic Take On The Raconteurs' 'Carolina Drama'

Jack White has shared another cut from his upcoming collection of acoustic recordings. The track is a version of The Raconteurs' "Carolina Drama," from the band's 2008 album Consolers Of The Lonely.

The original version of "Carolina Drama" is an electrified blues slow-burner. Here, the song sounds more like an old-time murder ballad, with banjo, fiddle and lap slide guitar.

This acoustic version of "Carolina Drama" appears on Jack White Acoustic Recordings 1998-2016, a collection of some of White's work with the The White Stripes and The Raconteurs as well as his own solo recordings. Last month he shared another cut from the collection: the previously unreleased White Stripes song "City Lights." Jack White Acoustic Recordings 1998-2016 is out Sept. 9.
