Eastern Eagle Singers, 20 Years of PowWow, Feature CD, 2/5

This weeks Feature CD is Eastern Eagle Singers, this Friday, February 4, 2016.  Tune in to hear the entire album with special Features from, Tribe Called Red.

Eastern Eagle Singers are an internationally renowned group of Mi'kmaq singers from Canada's east coast. Since 1993, they have performed at many of North America's most prestigious powwows, including The Gathering of Nations in Alburquerque, New Mexico, the Shakopee Wacipi in Minnesota, and the
Schemitzun World Championships in Connecticut (placing 3rd in 2008).  This Album is dedicated to their 20th anniversary in 2011 and the songs on this album are some of there best over the years and some new ones too...

Sheila has hosted the native Morning Show on KSUT Tribal Radio since 2000. In 2006 she also became co-host of Feeding the Spirit, a prgram focused on Native American health issues. In 2009, Sheila was hired by KSUT as the administration director intern and shortly thereafter became the director of Tribal Radio. She is currently one of KSUT's Executive Directors on the management team.
