The San Juan Mountains Association invites the public to participate in a survey to share thoughts about conservation and outdoor recreation in southwest Colorado. The survey is available at SCCORR.org and is open through Tuesday, April 30th.

The "Take Off Pounds Sensibly" support group meets each Wednesday morning at 8:30 at La Plata County Senior Services.
TOPS is available to men, women and children from age 7 up and is a noncommercial weight-loss support group.
The first in-person meeting is free (Membership starts at $49/year).

The Bonnie Dallas Senior Center in Farmington presents the High Desert Games Senior Olympics. Registration opens Monday, February 12th and the games run March 15th through May 31st. The Games are open to those 50 years and up - and will feature table tennis, darts, bocce ball, and field day... to shuffleboard, pickleball, chess, and more. Sign up is at fmtn.org/BDSC or in person at the Senior Center.

The Farmington Museum presents "Survival: The Exhibition," from Saturday, February 3rd through May 4th. Visitors can explore 8 unique survival zones and the optional Adventure Zone Ropes Course. Details are available at FarmingtonMuseum.org.
Investigate, collaborate, problem solve, play, build, collect, and climb your way to becoming the ultimate survival expert where visitors’ confidence and problem-solving skills are put to the test. A three-way stop is set up at Holly Avenue and Florida Road with rumble strips and stop signs to allow left turns from Holly Avenue onto Florida Road from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. to accommodate drivers during construction on County Road 250 and 251. Signs will be removed outside of the 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. hours. Police and flaggers will be directing traffic for the next week in the afternoons.

f you have never quilted - this class is for you! Melinda Malone, a local quilting teacher, will provide guidance in cutting fabric with a rotary cutter, ruler and mat, and simple straight line sewing. This class is free, but students are required to buy their own supplies and have use of their own sewing machine. Melinda will provide the batting for everyone who signs up.
